Very fine and large, antique, Imperial Russian silver & enamel egg and stand, circa 1900 . The best, antique, Russian enameled silver egg and stand, inset with rubies, circa 1895, the egg is in two halves; the top is profusely enameled with a cabochon ruby set in the top, around the top are three winged putti. The bottom of the egg is also profusely enameled and has three cabochon rubies inset, the tripod stand is zooamorphic in form, it ends in six feet with stag's hoofs. The quality of the enamel and silver work is outstanding, the enamel is; blue, green, white, pink and purple in color, condition is absolutely perfect, hallmarked in three places, inside the top and bottom of the egg and also on the inside rim. The egg is very large; on the stand it is 7" tall the egg itself is 5" tall x 3" diameter, a very fine and large, silver and enamel, Imperial Russian egg and stand circa 1900, like the work produced at Faberge's workshops. T are many copies of these Russian eggs, this one is guaranteed to be an original antique piece, with period hallmarks, with a no quibble money back guarantee! A very similar egg (but smaller) sold on e-Bay Live auctions two weeks ago, via the Dallas auction gallery, for $6,600 including buyer's commission. Received by Christmas if needed .
