South Indian Bronze Statue of Goddess Dipa Lakshmi Circa. Late 18th-19th Cent. A.D.
In dian Bronze Dipa Lipa. This Goddess stands with her arms forward, receiving a lamp. One her right shoulder is a bird. She wears a tightly fitting pleated dhoti and has a bejeweled upper torso. The figure stands on a double hourglass lotus plinth. Avery nice substantial (see Height and Weight) South Indian Bronze Figure. This would make a wonderful addition to any Asian Art Collection, a very impressive and heavy piece of art. Condition Excellent with no losses scratches or dents (See Photographs) Height: 15"inches, Diameter: at base 4 1/2"in.
