South Indian Bronze Statue of Goddess Dipa Lakshmi Circa. Late 18th-19th Cent. A.D.
In dian Bronze Dipa Lipa. This Goddess stands with her arms forward, receiving a lamp. One her right shoulder is a bird. She wears a tightly fitting pleated dhoti and has a bejeweled upper torso. The figure stands on a double hourglass lotus plinth. Avery nice substantial (see Height and Weight) South Indian Bronze Figure. This would make a wonderful addition to any Asian Art Collection, a very impressive and heavy piece of art. Condition Excellent with no losses scratches or dents (See Photographs) Height: 15"inches, Diameter: at base 4 1/2"in. Weight 10.5 lbs Payment is by PayPal Shipping is by Priority Mail, Insurance and signature required. Note due to the heavy nature of the statue over 10 lbs the shipping costs reflect the weight.
