This is the book printed for the George Rogers Clark one hundred fiftieth anniversary in 1929. "Indiana 1770-1929". The committee that formed the celebration included Lewis S. Bowman, Charles Kettleborough, Chirstopher B. Coleman, and J. Otto Lee. Published by the Board of Public Printing and The Indiana Historical Bureau, Indianapolis, and printed by the William B. Bedford Printing Co (State Printer); the Stafford Engraving Co. Art and Engravings, Indianapolis, Indiana did the pictures inside. It was dedicated to the Old Nortwest, and a facimile signature of the governor, Ed Jackson signed this. Inside you will find a complete history (to the time) of Indiana, and includes "George Rogers Clark and the American Revolution in the West", many maps and descriptions of various parts of the state, many facts about the area, pictures of the first and second capitals (Vincennes and Corydon), as well as pictures of the old and new capitals in Indianapolis. There is a section on the state's participation in World War I, a section on Lincoln and James Whitcomb Riley and much more. This small book is in very good condition with no marks; the staple bindings are in great condition with no loose pages. We have found no tears, bends, or folds, nor marks inside the book. All in all, this is a great history of Indiana from the American Revolution
