I have here an antique commercial fabric weaving shuttle - it's a hand held loom. It has a steel tip on both ends and the actual weaving mechanism is pretty cool - it's a steel or maybe cast iron mechanism in one of the tips. The basket and real copper tray in the middle of the item are removable. The opening which now has that copper thing in it previously held a bobbin full of thread or yarn. It measures 18" long. I figured this item would make for a decorative display piece or even as a nice piece of home or restaurant decor.
