You are bidding on an Antique Chippendale Mahogany Leather Top Desk. This is a RARE FIND due to its size, age and beauty and dates back to the earlier part of the 1900s and is Circa 1930 and was VERY WELL made. It has 8 beautifully inlaid and banded drawers which are all doweled and dovetailed together with solid brass pull handles. It sits on beautifully curved bracket legs with floral carved Ancathus leaves carved at each corner. The desk is finished on ALL of its sides so it can be placed anyw in a room. It has beautiful scallop carved trim work going throughout the edges. The top has a beautiful leather inset with gold tooling going throughout the edges in a nice floral design. Its made of a beautiful and exotic naturally figured mahogany wood grain pattern as you can see in the pictures with Satinwood and Ebony stringing inlays. This piece was VERY WELL made with quality that surpasses anything that is made today and all wood construction but Please understand that this is an antique and its all original so it has some minor imperfections on it with its age and the finish is aged and can use some work but overall its in excellent shape. This piece measures approx 42 inches wide, 30 1/4 inches high and approx 23 1/4 inches deep.This is a NO RESERVE auction and since I am assuming all the risk by starting the bidding at $1 dollar you will have to pay for shipping.
