This is a antique cylinder music box that my mother bought from an antique store in 1976. I had it appraised and was told it is an Italian mahogany inlaid cylinder music box that plays 8 songs. I can not find a label of a maker on it. It is 21 inches long, 9 and a half inches wide and 6 inches high, weight is about 25 pounds. It plays a deep rich tone. The cylinder is straight and has no teeth missing. The label on the inside lid says Fortissimo 8 airs 7 and a half par. Songs are 1) Home Sweet Home 2) Laboma 3) Gypsy Baron 4) Eminie 5) Festival 6) Auld Lange Syne 7) Boccaccia and 8)Aida. I would say it is in good condition . The lid shows some dryness. T is a half inch inlay missing on the right side. T is no key for the lock but has a key hole. It is worn about 5 inches in the front side of the lid some marks on the sides with that same type of waring. Please ask questions.
