Antique Inlaid Parquet Lidded Jewelry Box - Restored by Norman DuckloeBeautiful antique inlaid box was restored by Norman Duckloe . The Frederick Duckloe family of Portland PA is world famous for reproduction furniture, look up their website . Their furniture sits in Independence Hall, Philadelphia and in The Smithsonian and other museums. Origins of the box are not known, maybe Tramp Art . But box has been restored with all pieces of the parquet in place. Hinged lid, non - working lock, removable tray, lined in blue velvet. Under the velvet inside the lid are Norman's notations about his war service. Even if you know or care little about the Duckloe family the box is just wonderful. M easures 6-1/4" by 9- 1/4 " and 5" high. Condition: has no damage, some imperfection due to the hand made nature of the box. Missing a ribbon that held the lid from opening too far, easily replaced . High bidder pays shipping.
