Holy Bible & Book of Common Prayer Description This is a black bound set of the Holy Bible & Book of Common Prayer, with gold edge pages. Inscribed as presented to Humphrey Wickham in July 1845 from Wm Noakes. We have tried to identify these people but without success. Size Both books 5½" x 3¾". Bible 1¾" thick, prayer book 1¼". Condition Annoyingly, given the time spent trying to trace the people named, the books have been damaged in our possession. The Prayer book is worst - see photo. The bible has similar tears top and bottom, but due to age and wear. Obviously both books are scuffed and thumbed. Humphrey clearly used them.
