Up for bids at auction:

Up for bids is this antique cast iron, Horse Drawn Corn Planter Wire Spool Carrier. This old barn find is in excellent condition with no breaks or cracks in the old cast iron. It has been cleaned and rubbed with our all natural beeswax product to protect its beautiful old iron patina and is ready for display anywhere. There are some very faint traces of original red paint in places and since both John Deere and Case International Harvester used red on their old horse drawn farm machinery, I’m not positive to the manufacture of this wheel. It is embossed with raised parts numbers, “2336” on the main drive gear section and “1819” on the U-shaped wire spool holders. Overall it measures 20 inches in diameter and 7 ½ inches wide across the U-shaped horns. The center hole for the axle shaft is 1 inch in diameter. Either way, this century old wheel is in excellent condition and will display beautifully in any collection. Please refer to the pictures and feel free to email with any questions.

The items I sell are “Barn & Farmhouse Finds” from old farm estates throughout Iowa, Illinois and Missouri. Many of these items carry some rust, dust and dirt and are ready for cleaning & restoration. All original patina, showing years of use and aging – restore to your liking.
