Antique Islamic Gold Amulet Ring with Turquoise StoneMagnificent Kufic Script Blessing on Turquise Intaglio. Inner Diameter: 17.45mm / 0.74 inches Ring Size: 7 1/4 (USA), O 1/2 (UK) Approximate Age: 16th-18th Century AD Ring Height: 32mm / 1.25 inches Materials: Gold / Turqouise At your attention a beautifull antique islamic gold ring with inscribed turquoise stone. The inscription is in arabic and represents probably a blessing which makes this ring an amulet. Islamic amulets are extremely rare and collectable. This ring has a beautifull complex floral incision pattern on most of its exterior. Such patterns are known from islamic temples and are often made with complex mathematic formulas, some of which were not solved by modern mathematics until the 19th century AD. The ring dates approximately from 16th-18th Century AD and is stable and fully wearable. The Greek name for it was kallalith ("beautiful stone") then callais, and to the Arabs it is feyruz ("lucky stone"). Turquoise from Iran was sold to the Europeans by the Turks, hence the modern name of turquoise. No reserve! Only 1$ for each additional item purcheased! This awesome gold amulet ring weights 11 gm.
