You are bidding on a gorgeous antique Italian Florentine dimensional cherub / putti / angel. It is elegant for use in home decor, or as a very special Christmas decoration. My grandmother purchased this from an antique dealer in the early 1950's. It was used in her home at Christmastime in the 1960's with fresh boxwood greenery. This particular cherub was NOT stored too carefully for over 40 years: t is a darker "patina" of tarnish to the gold that probably (?) cannot be removed..... I am not about to try! But perhaps you prefer the darker patina?? The size is 18 inches at the longest diagonal (from his little finger of his left hand to his little toe on his right foot) Wings (aren't they beautiful?!) span across 12 inches. Workmanship? Unbelievable! Condition? Repaired: the cloth ribbon that covers the cherub's "privacy" (as my first grader calls it!) has been broken off w it meets his hip on both sides, and it has been c-a-r-e-f-u-l-l-y repaired decades ago. While the two repairs are not noticeable on the front of the cherub, you can see the repairs on the reverse (behind him). The two repairs (left side + right side) to the ribbon are shown on the back (reverse side) of the cherub in the accompanying photographs. This item can be shipped anyw in the U.S. for a flat rate that includes superb packing, handling, shipping, and insurance: $30.00 Ask Seller about a possible FedEx option / cost. Bid with confidence.
