My mom was an antique dealer in NYC and Hudson, NY. She passed away in 2006 and I have been selling her merchandise on ebay. She was well known throughout the land for her fantastic eye for beautiful things and eclectic taste.

Up for sale is a beautifully carved Ivory Bangle Bracelet. The carvings are of dragons along the outside of the bracelet. The bracelet measures a bit more than 2 1/2 inches around. T are some dirt spots on the piece due to age. I cleaned it up a bit but did not want to rub too hard as I am not an expert on cleaning Ivory. I do see line striations on the inside of the bracelet so I am quite sure this is elephant ivory. As far as I can see I do not see any major chips to the carvings. T is a slight fracture/chip on part of the outside of the bracelet but it is so slight that I am not sure if it was t originally. One could not notice it unless they put a magnifying glass to the piece.

I would say this bracelet is Chinese but not 100 percent sure. I am also unsure of the age of the piece but I know it is old.

Inside diameter is slightly less than 2 1/2 inches in diameter. Diameter in total with carving is approx. 2 and 3/4 inches round.

Ebayer informed me that she thinks the bracelet is Japanese!!!
