's a fellow that is not only crafted by a expert carver, but he has a humorous character about him.. looking at him from the front he has a large mustache that is dark in color by using scrimshaw..also eyebrows. His dark eyes actually extend out of the eye socket when tipped frontward.. The eyes are carved in such a manner that altho they extend about a 1/8" from the face, they do not fall out and when tipped back, go back in place.. in addition he has three large flowers on the front with 2 more flowers in the back all with scrimshaw centers. On the top of the head, are two boring holes in which a string could be fastened, one hole being larger then the other to prevent it from slipping..A unique netsuke, one carved by a talented artist, whose name appears on the piece.. this fellow is small, most of the netsukes were small so that they would be practical in use.. He is 1 1/2 " in length and almost 3" wide.. In keeping with ebays rules and regulations, shipped only in the United States.
