This is a beautiful 1930s to WWII era Japanese 7th Class Order of the Rising Sun medal. This medal is in wonderful condition, very nice cloisonne enameling and great silk ribbon. The ribbon has slight soiling only. The rosette is also in excellent shape too. The lacquered wood is in great shape, the smallest amount of wear only. Overall this is a very, very nice set. The last two photos are just to show you how and where a similar medal was worn. The Order of the Rising Sun medal was established by Council of State Decree of April 10, 1875.
