This is very nice antique Japanese Shinshu Zenkouji temple Buddhism related member badge with a manji (Buddhist swastika) on the front. The first line below the swastika reads SHINSHU ZENKOUJI (Shinshu Zenko Buddhist Temple). The badge shows it was for a temple member who was apart of the inner temple "Genshoubou," which I'm not familiar with. The Zenko Buddhist temple was built in the 7th century in Nagano. You can learn more about : /wiki/Zenkoji This is going to date from the 1920s to the 1930s. It's in excellent condition. It measures 33 mm from top to bottom.
