Japanese Geisha Kushi hair comb and Kogai Pin set What a find!!!! This beautifully made hair comb is OLD!!!!! It is still in great condition. The comb is decorated in florals in the gold Makie art technique and the Kogai Stick pin is decorated to match. Both are in great shape with no cracks, or breaks. The body of the comb is a wonderful mellow amber color as well as the ends of the Kogai pin. The middle of the Pin is a dark color and there seem to be two rubs on each side of it in the same spot. I am guessing that this where the pin was put into the hair over and over. The comb measures approx 3 3/4" wide and the stick pin measures approx 6 1/8" long. The bottom of the presentation box comes with the set but the top of the box is missing If you collect Antique and vintage Japanese pieces this is a wonderful set. The person I purchased this set from told me that it is at least 100 years old.
