This is a rare hand carved wood shisa and lotus rice mold. VERY OLD and collectible. I bought it at an antique market while in Japan. Wood has a great age patina, placing it as one of the older ones and not anything recently carved. It is a larger size which caught my eye, measuring over 10 inches in length. I am not sure of its origin as t was a great deal of trade between Japan and China during the last 200 years, and many of these older were ones originated in China. I will happily combine shipping on most items, but if it is a large breakable item, please email me before bidding as some items are just too fragile to combine safely.

Many of my items have the Best Offer feature. I do accept reasonable offers OR I will take off 15% if you buy more than one of my listings at the same time. I do buy to resell. I pay eBay and Paypal approximately 15% in listing and final value fees, so please consider this when making offers. Low ball offers cannot be considered and waste both buyer and seller time and resources.

I prefer Paypal, but will accept prompt payment by money order or personal check if your feedback is over 50 with no negative entries. Payment by mail must be received within 10 days of the end of auction. This policy protects all of us from bounced checks and fraudulent money orders.

I ship promptly on payment (or as soon as check clears). Priority Mail takes about 3-5 days. (they claim 3 days, but I have no control over USPS delays)

Insurance is always recommended on breakable items, but I leave that to the buyer to decide if they want that additional expense. I do charge $1 for most items and to cover packing materials and delivery confirmation and tracking, which protects both the buyer and seller.
