An antique iron, bronze and wood, Japanese spear point with finely balanced point, overall length is 14 1/4" and diameter of the wood shaft is 3/4". The iron spear point itself is 14" in length with the tail end of the supporting iron having been broken off. The front of the spear is 8" in length by 1" in width by 1/2" in depth at it's widest point and it tapers in the middle on the depth. The back supporting iron shaft, which is held within the wooden shaft has Japanese engraved characters on it, which I cannot read, but maybe you can. The wooden shaft was broken off at the same place as the tail end of the point was broken off and t is bronze decorative trim just past the iron spear point head. T is also some light oxidation on the iron point and shaft. Please email me any questions or concerns you may have before bidding. Please view my other auctions for more fine antiques and collectibles.
Buyers pay for shipping, insurance if required and packing. Payment may be made with a personal check, money order, money transfer or bank check in U.S. dollars only. Good luck bidding!
