Antique Japanese kimono. Early 1900's in incredible shape. The embroidery is superb. I have taken close ups so you can see the craftmanship. It is good enough condition to be worn. T are some imperfections. They are as follows, some pinkish red stains on one side in front, when close you cannot see it and t are others of the same color stain in a few places. This is the bleed in the threads, but someone who had it cleaned long ago. Some of the threads in the embroidery have run. A tiny smudge of green dye, from the kimono on the upper front left hand side. It has the loops for a sash , but no longer has the sash. A satin silk cord would work if you wanted to tie it.One tiny little wear mark on the front panel, other than that no tears. I bought it in this condition at a textile show in New York. The cost was 425. It was marked 645. but I whined. It is beautiful. I am starting out at a low price, considering the age and beauty of this piece. It would be stunning to hang as a wall piece also. It is not perfect by any means. If you cannot live with this, please do not bid. I will be happy to answer any questions you may have. So please ASK before you bid if you are unsure. I do not accept returns . Measurements are:chest 50 inches, length 51 inches, sleeves 11 1/2 inches, height of sleeve 15 inches. A very different piece indeed.
