Fresh out of a North of Boston estate! I can find no mark but I believe this to be an original Japanese Meiji era bronze figure. Please view my pictures to see if you agree. As with all my items satisfaction is guaranteed or full refund. This great elephant measures about 20 inches long and 9 1/2 inches high. It weighs 12 pounds! It has a nice greenish petina with wonderful skin texture. Tusks appear to be real elephant ivory. Overall condition is very good with the very tip of the tail being a little blunt, may have lost the tip, I am not sure. It is made to look like it is running and stands on two legs with the other two feet just off the ground.
