This is a gorgeous minature Japanese silver wire cloisonne vase. It stands 3 1/4" high and 1" in diameter. I am sorry my flash made it so hard to photograph in the actual color. The color is really a DARK TIEL background. The fabulously intricately detailed wysterial blooms and leaves are breath taking. The flowers, leaves and vines are so natural even down to tiny tendrils wraping around the side of the vase. The wysterias are white to lavender shading to purple with soft green leaves. The exquisite wire worked pattern starts well up on the shoulder of the vase and extends to quarter inch from the base. The base photographed much brighter than the metal really is. The base metal showing on the LIP and the BASE are more of an AGED BRONZE color. The finest tendril and leaves from the wysteria vine wrap 1/2 way round the vase. I have never seen a more perfect finely detailed silver wire work tiny Japanese cloisonne vase in all my years of collecting. IT has NO pitting in the glaze either. This tiny vase is perfect for a Netsuki figurine display case.
