Antique Japanese sword dating to early 20 century. Scabbard is made from lacquered bronze and has 2 rings for suspension. Hilt is made from bronze and has decorations mimicking the braided textile. Tsuba is oval and shape and fenestrated with miniature design imitating the shark skin. Dimensions: 37 inches length. After removing the scabbard, it measures 32 inches. The sword bears the number 38132 and has surface oxydation, but no pitting. The sword is in very good condition considering its age.
