This fine antique cylinder shaped umbrella stand, probably Meiji period (1868-1912), has 3 claw dragons in high relief chasing the flaming pearl with polychrome decoration surrounding the umbrella stand. The impressed mark on the bottom is shown in a photo with the rising sun & character marks. The umbrella stand is approx. 23.5” x 8 1/2". There is a minor flake on the key-fret border at the bottom, but with its dark to light contrast in color, the stand shows itself distinctively & otherwise is in very good condition. There is no reserve on this item!
