ITEM: This is a great looking mix style print showing Asia (Mainly Korea and Manchuria/China) with a ukiyo-e border showing military uniforms and weapons of all 3 countries. The title is called NISSIHNKAN (Japan, China & Korea), SANKOKU MEISAIZU (A View of 3 Countries). It was printed Meiji 27 Nen 10 Gatsu 23 Nichi (October 23, 1894). It measures 22.5 inches x 16-5/8 inches. Yes, t are some holes and stains. It still looks wonderful just the way it is and will be great framed and hung on the wall. This comes from the kura (storehouse) of an old samurai family named Kusaka that are located in Miyagi Prefecture. We have just started the process of liquidating their storehouses (they have 2) which many items date from the time the family were still samurai to WWII, when the head of the household served in the Imperial Japanese Army as a Military Police officer (kempeitai). It's safe to say items we are listing date from Edo era to WWII. All items I list are guaranteed 100% to be as stated. This is a rare chance to own items from an old samurai family (that come from the family directly). Please see our other auctions.
