For your consideration is this stunning fine rare French Antique Westminster Chime Wall Regulator Clock circa late 1800's. All original, unrestored in very nice working order the dial bears the Japy Freres Et Cie symbol. All brass 8 day Time and Strike movement. Solid walnut, no veneers with original finish. Masurements are; Height 33", Width 15" and 9" Deep. The Clock strikes the quarter hour and a full hour count on the hour on 8 long Chime rods with a very pleasant sounding chime. Rod assembly is also marked "JF". Attractive 7" silvered metal dial pan in nice condition with Arabic Numerals. Original convex bezel glass also in nice condition. Wood and Brass Pendulum is 5 1/2" in diameter with just a small dent on one very outer edge. Hinged door operates smoothly and latches properly. Beautiful carved cornice and carved crown over 2 full spindled columns. Viewing door has six thick beveled leaded glass panels. Stepped ogee bottom with carved base tip and original finales. T is a small chip in the very bottom base near the bottom carving. Not bad. The very back has a shrinkage split but is totally stable and solid. Some age old worm hole near the base. These minor imperfections that come with a Clock of this age truly do not distract from it's authentic appearance or value. This French piece of history runs strong and currently keeps good time. The Case is in very nice condition and the finish shows the loving care it had over the last century. Original Key is included.This Clock is sure to be the highlight of any room in your Home or Office. Please note that these antique Clocks may require some minor adjuments after transit although I pack these Clocks with great care to make the journey without damage. This Clock will be very carefully packed, with plenty of bubble wrap. Pendulum will be packed separately, all moving parts secured and the Clock will be "double boxed" with several inches of peanuts between boxes to ensure a safe delivery to your home or business.
