is a Beautifully Collectible Jared Admiralty Solid Brass Padlock and Keys for your consideration. This is an unusual find for the serious collector of Naval & Maritime history! It measures 3-3/4" long x 2-5/8" wide (at the widest part) x 1/2" thick. It appears to be solid brass . The 2 keys are also brass, and fit perfectly . The keyhole has a sliding cover to protect the locking mechanism from the ravages of salt water and other maritime hazards. T is a drain on the back of this lock for eliminating any water that might have worked their way inside it. The markings and signings are engraved into the brass, and read as follows: FRONT - " 9 ADMIRALTY " above the slot. " JARED OLD ENGLISH " on the slot's cover. " FOUR BRASS LEVERS " to the left of the cover, and " GENUINE SOLID BRASS " to the right of the cover. BACK - " JAS. MORGAN & SONS LTD., JUSTIN SQUARE " across the widest part of the back. " LOCKSMITHS BY APPOINTMENT " at the left-center of the back. " DRAIN " above the drain hole at the lower back of the lock. KEYS - Both keys have the number " 9" right below the keychain holes. We've locked and unlocked this padlock several times to test it, and each time, it was worked pefectly . This is a wonderful treasure - for both display and for use (although we'd probably keep it for display - it's just too pretty to actually use!)
