Selling this old Jenny Lind travel trunk/chest that I purchased at an estate sale and partially refinished. The inside and tray were both stained to match the exterior and given two coats of shellac. The exterior was stained the color you see, when I purchased the trunk. I polished the brass buttons, and have not treated the outside with shellac or other material. All brass button are in excellent consition, with the exception of one. Also a former owner had painted the top metal brackets and was a little sloppy. Some of the paint is on the cover and can not be removed without damaging the current color of the wood. Some of the metal bands on the side are a little banged up as you can see in photo 8. The inside also has a door like compartment built into the top cover. The lock has the marking and logo of J. Terry and Company. They made the locks for the Jenny Lind trunks during the 1850's. Overall a rally nice trunk. If you would like to see more pictures, please lset me know. I dont bother including the bottom or both sides. Overall the trunk's dimensions are 27 1/2 x 17 x 15 1/2. Shipping will be via UPS. The trunk itself. prior to shipping, weights about 35 pounds. Please note that, included in the shipping price of the trunk is the cost to purchase the $15.00 shipping box at UPS. Please note that the Ebay shipping calculator read more
