Up for auction is an equisite Original Oil on Canvas Painting by Highly Listed Artist "John Cowan Templeton" (1880-1958). This scene is of the Indiana Sand Dunes, which are the most sought after pieces by this artist! On the back stretcher is detailed information (see pic) including the title of piece which is "Little Bit O'Duneland". The date stated appears to be 1940. It is signed "J.C Templeton" at the lower right corner which is how he commonly signed. I have included file signatures of this artist from so you can see this one is clearly a match. Measures approx. 24" x 20" framed, 20" x 16" unframed. Piece is in very nice shape with the only issue being a tiny nail hole just above bottom stretcher. No tears, paint loss, or previous repairs! Was stored in a back room for a long time so a little dusty but again to be expected and nothing major.. Will not disappoint!
