This doll is very old. I believe her to be dated to 1830 - 1850. Her body is made of sawdust, her arms, legs and head are made of wood. She has a removable wig on her head which is matted and worn. Her face is made of a paper mache like material molded over the wood. There is some loss on the sides. Her boots are made of leather and are worn. She is wearing an original dress which is yellowed and stained in areas. Her arms and legs are jointed and still attached. She measures 14Ã,Â". I am sure she was beautiful over 150 years ago. She would make a very nice addition to an antique doll collection.
