For your consideration an antique oak Kellogg wall telephone. Fresh from a local estate. The phone is in excellent original condition. T are no broken, damaged, or missing parts. The case is made of solid quarter sawn oak and has its original finish. Both the wood and the finish are in excellent condition with no damage. The mouthpiece and the receiver are in good condition with no chips or cracks. The receiver has its internal parts and original cord. The cord has a couple of small frayed spots. The part that the mouthpiece is screwed into is marked KELLOGG. T are some scratches in the black paint on some of the metal parts but nothing too serious. The phone is complete inside and still has the original batteries. T is also a device inside that I have never seen before. It is a metal case that sits between the batteries marked STROMBERG-CARLSON QUALITY CONDENSER. The magneto is marked KELLOGG CHICAGO-U.S.A. The magneto cranks over good but I could not get the bells to ring. I am not sure if a wire is off or if it is something else. The phone measures 25" in height by 12" in width counting the crank and receiver by 14 1/2" in depth counting the mouthpiece. It weighs 25 pounds. This is one of the nicest and most original oak wall phones I have seen in a long time. Usually they have been refinished or are in pretty rough shape. An read more
