Keris pusaka SEMPANA from Surakarta with very nice pamor. This is a very nice and old 9 luk (wave) keris from Surakarta, Central Jawa. Surakarta / Solo is situated in the central of Java and is one the most important city for the keris, with the keraton and big history of keris. The dapur (shape) of the keris is SEMPANA . However this Keris is very old the keris has still a really nice visible pamor (see detailed pictures). The pamor is very hard to get on a picture so I took some very big close ups to give you an idea.. Off course in real vision the pamor is more nice. I'm not a pamor expert so please check this yourself (see the pictures). This keris is very old, probably made 17th century . The wooden handle is "Nunggak Semi" and and typical from Solo. According to me the clothing (handle and scabbard) of the Keris are less old then the keris itself, but this is quite common as the wood is less strong then the keris itself. As you can see the handle is matching well with the scabbard and keris. The wooden warangka (scabbard) has a Ladrang motif (shape of shipp) from Solo and the keris is fitting good in the scabbard. The wood is very nice (see the detailed pictures). The kerisblade is +/- 36 cm and the total length of the keris in the scabbard is 51 cm. Off course the low starting bid is less then the actual value and only to encourage read more
