Up for auction is this Antique Glass Kerosene Oil Lamp in a pattern called Riverside Rib Band, with patent dated collar This vintage glass pedestal oil lamp is wonderful condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. This lamp would date to 1893, and is shown in Thuro's book on Oil Lamps. This early glass lamp measures 9 1/2" tall to the top of the dated brass riverside cinch-on collar. The lamp does glow under blacklight, authenticating early american glass manufacturing. This lamp is extremely clean and the glass shines in light. This lamp comes with a number two size burner and nice old delicate pearl top glass chimney. The threads in the collar are good shape and are not stripped. This lamp font is on a mix and match Riverside Rondo Stem/Base. Lamp makers often did this and many are shown in my reference book on mix and match lamp section. This is a beautiful vintage victorian early lamp that has not been drilled or repaired. Please look at my other listings this week as I have several other lamps I will be offering. Please look at my other listings of antique, vintage and depression glass.
