For auction: a very unique hand built clock signed "Bradt". It measures 9" tall x 7" wide x 4.5" deep. It is a fully functional mantel clock driven by an electric motor but all the gears, frame and kinetic elements are hand made. T are 6 figures which move to crank the gears and several other moving elements. T are hundreds of intricate details and solder joints making this an impressive piece of engineering and workmanship. The overall condtion is quite good with no damage or broken welds AT ALL. However one gear that drives the hands no longer meshes properly and it does not keep time. The motor works fine and all the kinetic elements move when its turned on but the hands of the clock do not turn. I'm sure that this can be repaired but I have not attempted to do so. It is in the same condition as it was when I aquired it. In my opinion this was more of a sculpture than a functioning clock anyway and was meant to be turned on for short periods of time. Domestic shipping w/insurance will run $15. Please email me with any questions or for international shipping quotes. Revised: I was graciously informed by another ebay member that this clock was made by Gordon Bradt at his Kinetico Studios in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. He calls this his "6 man" clock and has been making them for about 25 years. He has a website if you want more information. These are still being made by him today and cost $1800.
