Antique Koch & Bergfeld Sterling Silver German Tea Set 5 Piece King George III Ivory Handle Tea Set / Germany We purchased this wonderful old tea set along with some other antique sterling silver hollowware items that we currently have listed in separate auctions on Ebay. If you are the high bidder on more than one auction we will combine them so you can save money on the shipping costs.
************************************* This magnificent tea set includes a coffee and tea pot, creamer and sugar with the matching tray. Each piece is marked *Humbser Furth, a number and hallmark for Koch & Bergfeld & 800. The set was made around 1884 in Germany and was a family heirloom for years. The sugar bowl and both pots have real ivory knobs and the handles on 3 of the items have ivory spacers on the handles. I have looked over each piece and cannot find any dents or dings....in fact, the only damage I can find is that the pin is missing for the sugar bowl hinge and I made a temporary one out of a paper clip. The ivory knobs have yellowed over the years and have some age cracks but are not damaged. The tray has some minor usage scratches but these should buff out easily. Needs polishing but I will leave that job for the lucky high bidder. Creamer weighs 4.9 oz, Sugar Bowl, 10 oz, Coffee Pot 18.1 oz, Teapot 17.8 oz and the tray weighs 30.4 oz.....for a total of over 5 lbs....81.2 ounces. Questions? Please email us. Thanks.
