Up for auction is an antique Ladies Wristwatch that has been engraved on the back GRACE 29th July 1912. The watch shows no maker name but is stamped in many spots 18 C for 18 carat gold. It also has SWISS MADE as well. The band appears to be gold mesh and the clasp mechanism is stamped 15 C for 15 carat gold. I wound the watch and it works but I can't pull out the winder hard enough to set the time and I don't want to accidentally damage the watch by doing so. It's ticking away as I type. I've opened all parts of the watch to show you various angles. The face of the watch appears to have blue enamel as an accent but it's got damage as seen in the photo - it looks smudged or smeared - I don't know anything about enamel and how that happens or even if it's enamel - it just looks like it to me. I will try to get a loop to see the serial numbers and will add that to the description. The face of the watch measures 1-1/18" across so this is a big watch. I am going to weigh the watch on a gram scale and will add that to my descrition. This watch along with the other vintage jewelry I'll be listing belonged to a 92 year old woman who died 3 years ago and I'm assisting the family with listing the pieces.
