ANTIQUE HANDHELD TWO PIECE LADIES MINIATURE SPITTOON This addicted collector is downsizing and I will be selling a variety of antiques and collectibles. Offered for sale is this antique two-piece miniature ladies Victorian spittoon or cuspidor. This little china or porcelain beauty has a floral design on the top removable piece and a handle on the bottom piece. The designs are bright and colorful with no fading. The white bottom is accented with a gold stripe, which has a very small area of light wear or perhaps it was never painted correctly originally. A lady could discreetly hide this little spittoon under her skirt or dress and then pick it up by the handle to use it. It is in very good condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. It measures approx. 3" tall and 4" across at the top. Cuspidors / spittoons were used by both men and women when chewing tobacco was commonly used. Not a great habit but t was no reason spittoons couldn't be decorative! The Victorians loved to do things in style. I've collected antiques read more
