For auction, Very beautiful antique Art Nouveau French pocket watch converted to wrist watch and made of solid silver with 18k gold all around. The watch has been tested by us for the gold content. Converted pocket watch was common at the time because the wrist watch wasn't invented back then .This watch is a real gem in all sense of the word with perfect dial and fine Louis XV gold hands. Fine cylinder movement in working order. The watch bears the "Crabe" French silver hallmark. In France in the 1800's till 1920's 18K gold was applied on many watches without necessarily bearing the gold hallmark. This watch is in working order keeping good time. Time setting is done by pin set next to the crown. The winder works fine but you may feel some light resistance sometimes but nothing to detract the watch at all.
