You are bidding on an antique lap desk. As you can see from the pictures it is inneed of restoration. The dimensions of the desk are 19 5/8 x 9 ¾ x 7". I think the veneer on it is walnut. I'm not sure of the age but believe it is from the early 19 th century. All of the horizontal brass pieces that fit on the edges are t A couple have fallen off and are inside. The chunk of wood that fits in the back at the top left hinge is also inside. The vertical brass piece that fits on the lower back is missing. The edges of one of the interior pieces will need to be reglued and the leather surface will need to be replaced. T are three small drawers that fit inside. Two appear to be original and one was rebuilt by someone a long time ago. The two originals have ivory knobs and the replaced one has a brass knob. The hinges are in poor shape and should be replaced. I've listed all the obvious faults that I can see.
