This is a MAGNIFICENT ANTIQUE MASTER WOOD CARVED Large 10" TEAK FIGURE - FISHERMAN with FISH! The carved details are incredible from the clothing folds, the bone? teeth, the fish, the glass eyes in figure and the large fish - excellent workmanship - one of the finest carvings I have ever seen! The patina is beautiful and this is in very good vintage condition. However, t is one disclosure (a small repair masterfully done - is not noticeable - you have look closely to find it) on the rim of the hat - a small piece. This fabulous piece is from my aunt's collection of Asian art (she's mid90s) going to assisted living center soon. She travelled the world and the US extensively! She loves and collected avidly art for many decades. She had an excellent eye for gorgeous pieces - fine carvings, etc. This piece of art is one of several in one of her curio cabinets. I cannot tell you the exact age nor is t any signature of an artist. So, I will leave this up to the experts! I am offering this fabulous piece of Asian Art at a very low price: $49.99 with NO RESERVE!
