This beautiful antique reddish-pink case with applied FLORAL pattern is a stunning example of an Ansonia porcelain or ceramic clock and is titled "RADIUS". It is signed on the back below the opening for the round dust cover "RADIUS 1901" (see pic's). The crisp magenta purplish red case with its pink accents and lovely floral designs is just gorgeous. It is a true ANTIQUE ANSONIA clock, guarenteed!!!!This clock is listed on page 604 of ANSONIA CLOCKS & WATCHES by Tran Duy LY.. This FANTASTIC old time piece was made in the late 1800's through early 1900's and is one of the larger porcelains made by Ansonia.. It is 12 1/2 inches wide X 11 inches high and about 5 1/2 inches deep. The 8 day time/strike movement is signed with a patent date of June 18th, 1882. It has been ultrasonically cleaned, oiled and runs and keeps good time and comes with its original pendulum and a winding key. This beautiful old clock strikes the hour and half hour on a SUPER sounding cathedral gong that resonates nicely and is very pleasing to the ear. The VERY NICE American Sash dial is signed and has the Ansonia logo on it. The bezel has been cleaned and a coat of paste wax applied to help keep it from from tarnishing. The Floral Designs are still bright, beautiful and crisp on all sides of the case. (please see photo) T are is a very nice repair to the right foot and if you didn't know it was t you wouldn't be able to tell (see photos). It does show some light crazing from temperature variations in its life, which is not bad for being 100+ years old.
