5 Volumes of ParkmanÃ,Â's Works by Francis Parkman. These 5 volumes are entitled Ã,Â- France in the New World; Jesuits in North America; Frontenac and New France; Old Regime in Canada; and Half Century of Conflict. Published by Little Brown & Company 1893 Boston. This is quite the spectacular set Ã,Â- on the front and back covers center it is marbleized in colors of mint and forest green with twining gold Ã,Â- one of the most fabulously and well done book marbleizing I have ever seen! The colors are vivid and sharp. The spine and four corners are covered in butterscotch colored leather with gold embossing on the spine. I hate to say it but these books have seen better days Ã,Â- some are better then others but they are all quite worn around the spine. On two of them the front cover is quite loose and coming apart and on another two the back cover is quite loose and coming apart. The Frontenac and New France volume has totally lost its front and back cover. The pages are all in good condition and surprisingly the binding is quite tight and clean. With all of that said it is still a fabulous collection and would not only be quite the addition to anyoneÃ,Â's collection or library but there is also something soft and elegant about there appearance.
