Antique Tintype Photo Album Album size is 5" x 6". Photo size is approx. 2.5" x 4.25" This nice little album belonged to a 94 year old lady friend of mine from Boston. I believe it is a piece she inherited from her parents. It is bound in a rich brown leather bound, with 2 intricate brass clasps for closure. The gilding on the sides of the album is lovely. This album was definitely used and shows signs of it. The leather is worn which I feel gives it a real sense of history!! The binding has been broken as can be seen in the pictures, and the photo pages have come apart once, separating into 2 different sections. It still closes together nicely. As expected of a piece this age, it does have some tears to the first pages. Still a gorgeous piece of history. Thanks for looking.
