Please read entire description for condition. I'm not going to sugar coat the condition on this sweet guy, but still displays good. I believe he is a Lenci, but I don't know for sure, he is not marked in any way, so please make your own judgement, as there are no guarantees that he is a Lenci, but the face paint looks to be that of a very early Lenci doll. He measures about 20 inches tall. His outfit is stained & discolored, his body is stained & one knee is split open & a piece of masking tape has been put on to help with the leaking, but still leaks a little. He has holes in both his shoes, his nose is missing the felt on his nose & exposing the underneath, his one hand has a hole & exposing the stuffing, which is crunchy. I believe his outfit to be all original, not sure if the mandolin is original, but it is very old, so might be. He has a attic/storage smell about him. He has the zig zag stitching on the back of the neck & has applied ears. He has jointed head, arms & hips. Head & arms are felt, body & legs are a muslin type material. He is missing one of the black large buttons on the bottom of the clothes arm & the buttons on his jacket are snap closures, so not sure if those were added & originally sewed on? Not sure. Most of the stuffing is missing at his knees, but that allows him to pose easily with bending at the knees. read more
