This auction is for a library card catalog. This card catalog was put to good use in our local school library (K-12). The cabinets, base, and writing surfaces are all wood with brass pulls and rods. The drawers have wood faces with plastic insides (see picture). The unit is modular. The writing surface, base, and two cabinets are modular for storage or shipping. A creative person might be able to make unique coffee tables out of these units. Unit dimensions: The two cabinets are 34" long x 17" deep x 13.5" high. Each cabinet weighs approximately 100 lbs. The writing surface piece is 34" long x 17" deep x ~2" high and weighs 20 lbs. The base (for shipping purposes) is roughly the same size as the cabinets and weighs 30 lbs. Assembled, the unit is 45" high. This item was made by the Heller Company of Montpelier, Ohio. Other than that, the historical information about this cabinet is unknown but, as was mentioned earlier, was used in the Antwerp, Ohio school library for many years. I'm just guessing that it was produced post-1950 but, for as long as the school has been t, the unit could have been produced pre-1950. Buyer arranges and pays for all shipping/pick-up.
