PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: This auction is for a very sweet antique doll dress . This would look adorable over a long sleeve white or pastel dress. Made of white light-weight corduroy cotton with inserts of a crochet type lace. It is not a real heavy dress. The dress features a square neckline trimmed with embroidered cotton lace. The high bodice has horizontal strips of a crochet type lace then trimmed across the top, just below the neckline, with embroidered cotton lace. The dress is sleeveless with a 3 1/4 in. ruffle of cotton and lace. The skirt is gathered for fullness with alternating panels of light-weight cotton corduroy and lace inserts. A lace horizontal band across the bottom of the skirt with a 3 1/4 in. ruffle at the hemline. There are four (4) buttons and button loops on the backside bodice for closure. I think this is just adorable but there are some holes and repairs so please read condition and measurements below and look at all of the photos as they are part of the description CONDITION : There are holes and repairs to the white cotton fabric on the hemline ruffle as shown in photos #7 through 12. I have placed a measuring tape to give you an idea of the size to these repairs. The repair shown in photo #7 is on the front and has raised the length of the ruffle about 1/2 inch. Some of the other repairs have raised the length of the ruffle a bit but not as much as the first one mentioned. The rest of the repairs and holes are on the fabric of the ruffle and go all the way around as shown in these photos. The lace trim on the bottom edge is in very good condition with just a few minor edge breaks. There is also a repair to the ruffle on the right armhole. The rest of the dress is in very good to excellent condition with just a few minor holes. There is no damage to the skirt fabric or lace and just a few tiny holes in the lace on the front and back bodice which was not worth photographing. There is a light yellow stain on the front left bodice trim as you can see in photo #2. There are a few light stains on the skirt front, as well. The dress is nice and white. This has been gently hand laundered, air dried and ironed with no starch, ready for display. N o odor, and ready for display. My home is smoke-free. MEASURES: 16 3/4 in. total length, shoulder to hem including lace trim; 9 3/4 in. across the chest measured under the arms measured flat and closed; 8 in. across the shoulders measured flat & buttoned closed; 3 3/4 in. across the neckline, flat and closed; 4 1/4 in. across the armhole measured flat.
