ANTIQUE LIGHTED METAL & GLASS GIFT SHOP ADVERTISING & DISPLAY SIGN I bought this wonderful & unique durable heavy metal and glass GIFT SHOP sign at an auction many years ago. I have had it displayed as a conversation piece as it is a very interesting piece of retail history. I'm not sure of it's origin but it is certainly generic enough to be used in any type of gift and card shop. The electrical cord was cut when it sold at auction.. I was told this is common practice to prevent liability for electrical mishaps. It would have to be rewired to function as a lighted display. I have never dismantled it, so I am not certain of the internal components other than the cord does exit the rear. Do note that it sits level on intact rubber feet. It can also be hung by metal loops that are attached to the sides. It has a manufacturer label /decal on the back that reads " Neon Products Inc. LIMA " The pictures give a good representation of it's condition, color and character. Dimensions: Length - 25 1/2" , Width - 7 3/4" , Depth - 4". and remember ... NO RESERVE on this item.
