L OVELY ANTIQUE LIMOGES BERNARDAUD THREE PIECE JAM JAR This is a great chance to own a hard to find, beautiful, hand painted three piece Limoges Jam Jar. The main body and gold handled lid are professionally hand painted with oranges and orange blossoms set against lush green foliage and a muted background of ivory, pale pink, pale peach and blue. The jam jar is flanked by ornate gold handles and sits on an under plate painted in muted tones of blue-green. The piece is artist initialed "LW" and bears the Bernardaud and Co. Limoges porcelain Mark 1, circa 1900 to 1914. The jam jar measures approximately 5 1/2 inches tall to the top of the lid and 3 1/2 inches in diameter across the opening at the top. The under plate is 6 inches in diameter. This Jam Jar Set is like one shown on Page 113, Plate 243 in the reference book "The Collector's Encyclopedia of Limoges Porcelain" by Mary Frank Gaston.
