Up for sale here is an antique , arts and crafts style, circa 1900 to about 1915 framed watercolor painting by listed and well collected American painter Du Bois Fenelon Hasbrouck (1860-1934).The watercolor is being sold framed and matted and is currently under glass. The size of the watercolor painting only comes to 12 1/2 inches high by 25 inches across and with the frame about 21 inches by 34 inches. The painting is signed by the artist in the lower right corner "D.F. Hasbrouck, N.Y" For the age of the painting the work is in overall good to very good condition. There is just the faintest bit of light fading or toning even to the surface of the painting. But the colors still remain sharp overall. There is no air burn on the painting and no water staining. There is a tiny spot of water stain on the matt in the tip of the lower right corner from where it looks like the glass was cleaned at one time. There is no mat burn and no foxing to the piece. The finish on the frame is heavily worn. The brown paper back cover the painting will also need to be replaced it is torn in a couple of spots but does not affect the painting. Du Bois Fenelon Hasbrouck is listed in the published art book Who Was Who in American Art. The artist also has many public auction records. Prices for the artist's watercolors have gone over $1,500.
