Just out of a local house is this signed Lobmeyr faceted glass bowl. It was made in Vienna, Austria by Lobmeyr during the mid to late 19th century. It has a finely enameled romantic scene of a young couple with colorful scrolls and flowers. She is sitting on a bench playing a musical instrument and the gentleman is standing by listening. The bottom is nicely marked with the Lobmeyr trademark. The bowl measures about 5 1/8 inches wide, about 3 15/16 inches deep, and about 2 3/4 inches high. It is in good condition but has a couple of chips on the base done some time ago, and that was touched up with gold paint. There is also some wear to the original gold paint.
