THIS IS A 3 DAY AUCTION!!!! This is a gorgeous LOG CABIN QUILT that appears to have never been washed. The fabrics are crisp and clean and the quilt is in amazingly great condition. The tiny flowered fabrics appear to be feedsacks, I am not 100% sure...but they are all cotton, and sweet... and as you go to the outer edges of the quilt, the blue prints have a speck of pink in them too. The pink patterned fabric is actually not flowers but small teeny abstract prints. The pink patterend fabric is used also for the binding, which appears to be machine sewn on. The quilt is HAND QUILTED, at about 4 spi. This is THIN, and may have a very thin cotton batting, or maybe none at all. When held to the light, I couldn't detect it (see below)....yet the quilt weighs about 4 1/2 pounds. The background fabric is a white/slightly off-white color, as is the back. It's really very lovely! This is fairly large, measuring 78" X 80". T are no holes or loose seams. T are maybe 2-3 tiny dots of age-related tan on the back side....and a speck of dust along one edge on the back. It is small (less than 1/2"). IF you want a photo of them, I will be happy to send one to you. Otherwise, this is a beautiful, thin, all cottton vintage quilt.
